Named after the examples found in 1964 in the Corbridge Hoard, examples of fittings from this version of the cuirass are probably the most common. It is easily distinguished from the other variants by its small lobate hinges and decorated bosses. The main period of use of the Corbridge type was c.A.D.40-140.
